Senior Systems Administrator – IS&T (Dublin)

About the role

The Senior Systems Administrator will lead the IS&T function at our Dublin office, ensuring the stability, security and performance of both on‑premise and cloud environments. You will manage a helpdesk team, oversee infrastructure projects and act as the primary point of contact for system continuity and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the helpdesk operation, monitor ticket SLA compliance and drive continuous process improvements.
• Install, configure and maintain network equipment (Aruba switches), virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter) and Windows Server services (Active Directory, File & Print, Egnyte, ManageEngine).
• Administer telephony (Microsoft Teams), security solutions (Intune, Defender, Fortinet) and storage (arrays, Veeam backup & replication).
• Maintain accurate documentation of network maps, server roles and software licences; produce reports for audits and compliance.
• Control access permissions, conduct monthly audits and ensure data security for onboarding and off‑boarding.
• Oversee firewalls, VPNs, MPLS links and bandwidth utilisation, liaising with WAN providers.
• Lead continuity and failover planning, perform simulation testing and monitor system capacity and performance.
• Identify and implement improvements, research emerging technologies and ensure policy compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of senior server and network support experience.
• Proven experience managing IT projects.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
