About the role
The Site Agent will lead the delivery of construction projects in Dublin, overseeing a multidisciplinary site team that includes construction managers, engineers, foremen and subcontractors. You will be responsible for ensuring safe, on‑time and on‑budget execution while maintaining high quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Manage multiple urban and rural construction projects from start‑up to completion.
- Supervise site staff, operatives and subcontractors, providing guidance and direction.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers and surveyors, attending regular progress meetings.
- Determine and allocate resources – manpower, plant, equipment and materials – within budget constraints.
- Negotiate contracts and purchase orders with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Monitor and interpret contract documents, ensuring compliance with HSQE management systems.
- Develop and maintain construction budgets, forecasts, and resource plans.
- Prepare client progress reports, financial updates and risk assessments for the Regional Director.
- Obtain necessary permits, licenses and certifications, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Measure and value completed works in collaboration with the quantity surveyor.
Required profile
- Degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
- Member of the relevant professional institution, chartered status (or working towards it).
- 5‑8 years of experience as a senior or site engineer on civil construction projects.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary site teams and manage client relationships.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, programme management and HSQE standards.
