About the role
We are seeking an experienced engineering leader to take charge of site‑wide asset management in a large‑scale manufacturing operation. The role focuses on equipment reliability, operational performance and continuous improvement, providing a high‑visibility platform to shape long‑term engineering and maintenance strategy.
Key responsibilities
- Lead maintenance and engineering activities across the site to maximise equipment uptime and operational efficiency.
- Develop proactive maintenance strategies centred on reliability, performance and reduced downtime.
- Manage and mentor maintenance technicians and engineering support teams.
- Drive preventative and predictive maintenance initiatives for plant equipment and infrastructure.
- Support breakdown response, fault diagnosis and root‑cause investigations.
- Identify opportunities to improve plant reliability, maintenance performance and operational output.
- Oversee maintenance planning, spare‑parts control and contractor coordination.
- Support engineering improvement projects and equipment upgrades.
- Monitor maintenance KPIs, downtime trends and reliability metrics.
- Ensure all engineering activities comply with safety, regulatory and operational standards.
- Champion continuous‑improvement initiatives across maintenance and production.
Required profile
- Proven experience leading maintenance or engineering operations in manufacturing or industrial settings.
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical, electrical and production systems.
- Experience managing technical teams in fast‑paced environments.
- Deep knowledge of preventative maintenance and equipment reliability.
- Hands‑on problem‑solving capability with a results‑oriented approach.
- Engineering qualification, apprenticeship or relevant technical background (advantageous).
