Site Engineer – Commercial & Residential Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Site Engineer to join a growing construction team in County Mayo. You will work on a variety of commercial and residential developments, overseeing projects from groundworks through to completion while ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

Key responsibilities

• Set out works using Total Station, GPS and other surveying equipment.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Liaise with site managers, project managers, subcontractors and design teams.
• Maintain accurate site records and report on project progress.
• Conduct quality inspections and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Assist with site coordination and programme management.
• Support health and safety compliance on all site activities.
• Resolve technical issues and provide engineering support on site.
• Help deliver projects on schedule and within specification.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Site Engineer on commercial or residential projects.
• Strong setting‑out experience using Total Station and GPS equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Knowledge of Irish health and safety regulations.
• Full clean driving licence.
