Site Engineer – Cork

About the role

The Site Engineer will join Walls Construction’s Construction Management Team to ensure the effective on‑site delivery of building projects in Cork. You will be responsible for setting out, quality control and coordination of site activities while maintaining compliance with specifications and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out setting out, levelling and quality control, including concrete cube sampling and slump testing.
• Inspect shuttering, reinforcement and dimensional accuracy before concrete pours.
• Maintain accurate materials reconciliation records and comprehensive site diaries.
• Upload project documentation to the Document Management System (DMS).
• Supervise directly employed staff and subcontractors throughout the construction process.
• Ensure full compliance with health & safety, environmental, quality and operational policies.

Required profile

• Relevant engineering qualification with 2–3 years’ experience in a building contractor environment.
• Strong IT proficiency and a good working knowledge of surveying instruments and site equipment.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and solutions‑focused, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Commitment to professional development and progression.
