Site Engineer

About the role

The Site Engineer will support the construction management team by overseeing on‑site activities and ensuring that building elements meet quality and safety standards. This role involves hands‑on coordination of concrete works, formwork, reinforcement, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Set out and level works, performing quality control including concrete cube sampling and slump testing.
• Inspect shuttering, steel reinforcement and other dimensions before concrete pours.
• Maintain material reconciliation files and upload documentation to the DMS.
• Keep a detailed site diary and record all site activities.
• Supervise directly employed staff and subcontractors on various construction tasks.
• Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality policies.

Required profile

• Relevant engineering qualification.
• 2–3 years of experience with a building contractor.
• Strong IT proficiency and ability to work with surveying equipment.
• Self‑starter, problem‑solver and effective team player.

Required skills

• Use of surveying instruments and equipment.
• Concrete quality testing (cube sampling, slump testing).
• IT skills for documentation and DMS handling.
