Site Manager – Commercial and Construction Contracts

About the role

Grant & O’Brien is looking for an experienced Site Manager to take ownership of multiple commercial and construction cleaning contracts. You will be responsible for staffing, standards, training, stock control and client communication across several sites.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and own assigned cleaning contracts, ensuring correct staffing and roster compliance.
• Conduct regular site visits, inspections and audits to monitor standards and progress.
• Supervise and support cleaning staff and site supervisors across multiple contracts.
• Train staff on cleaning standards, chemical use, equipment handling, health & safety and customer expectations.
• Monitor attendance, uniform, PPE, performance and conduct.
• Maintain rosters, cleaning schedules, checklists, audit forms and site records.
• Replenish stock, chemicals, consumables and PPE; ensure equipment safety and maintenance.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and management; investigate complaints and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, health & safety procedures, Safe Pass requirements and site‑specific risk assessments.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying operational risks, training needs and service enhancements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in cleaning, facilities management, commercial or construction cleaning.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple contracts and projects simultaneously.
• Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
• Hands‑on, reliable and driven leadership style.
