Site Manager – Construction Projects

About the role

Axis Construction is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead day‑to‑day operations on a construction site in Kildare. You will coordinate subcontractors, supervise construction activities, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations, including coordination of trades and subcontractors.
• Manage site schedules, monitor progress against the programme, and address issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, building regulations, health and safety standards, and quality control processes.
• Maintain accurate site documentation, report on milestones, and keep stakeholders informed.
• Facilitate site meetings, promote clear communication, and resolve on‑site problems.
• Support a safe, efficient, and collaborative work environment.

Required profile

• Strong construction site management experience, including supervision of trades and coordination of subcontractors.
• Proven ability to plan, schedule, and control costs to keep projects on programme and within budget.
• Knowledge of building regulations, health and safety standards, and quality control for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
• Effective communication and leadership skills for stakeholder coordination and issue resolution.
• Relevant qualification in construction management, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Willingness to work full‑time on‑site in Kildare.

Required skills

• Proficiency with construction management software.
• Competence in standard office tools (e.g., MS Office) for reporting and documentation.
