Site Manager

About the role

Our client, a nationally recognised construction firm, is looking for an experienced Site Manager to lead day‑to‑day operations on construction sites. The role ensures that all works are carried out safely, on schedule, within budget and to the required quality standards while coordinating sub‑contractors and site teams.

Key responsibilities

• Set up site office, welfare facilities, signage and access according to approved layouts.
• Arrange and verify certification of survey equipment and ensure staff have functional measuring tools.
• Complete QF 27 – New Site Set‑Up Checklist and organise inductions for all sub‑contractors.
• Maintain crew lists on Procore for operational, health‑and‑safety and environmental purposes.
• Record daily site diary in Procore, including personnel, deliveries, variations, delays, progress photos/videos (OpenSpace) and safety documentation.
• Ensure daily completion of QF 22 – Daily Checklist where applicable and verify timesheets for all sub‑contractor crews.
• Conduct morning checks before 9 am to confirm sub‑contractor presence and compliance, escalating any missing contracts or documentation.
• Monitor sub‑contractor work continuously to ensure programme compliance and adherence to health, safety and environmental regulations.
