Site Reliability Engineer – Engineering Productivity

About the role

Arista Networks is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join its Engineering Productivity (EngProd) team. You will help design, build, and operate secure, scalable, and fault‑tolerant tools and infrastructure that support the company’s rapidly expanding internal user base.

Key responsibilities

• Build, deploy, and operate critical production systems with a focus on scalability, reliability, observability, performance, and security.
• Automate build and deployment pipelines to reduce manual toil and improve incident response.
• Create and maintain incident response runbooks, triage platform issues, and author post‑mortem documentation.
• Plan and communicate maintenance windows, coordinating with third‑party vendors as needed.
• Collaborate with product development teams to identify infrastructure bottlenecks and improve developer workflow efficiency.
• Research and adopt best practices for infrastructure and platform design.

Required profile

• Versatile engineer comfortable wearing multiple hats and learning new technologies.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid cloud environment.
