Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

StepStone is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to design, deploy, and manage enterprise‑grade cloud solutions. You will work across AWS, GCP, and Azure environments, ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and compliance for financial‑services applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS, GCP or Azure.
• Collaborate with software engineers to embed reliability best practices into the development lifecycle.
• Participate in on‑call rotations, lead incident response, and conduct post‑mortems.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep.
• Optimize cloud resource utilization and manage costs across multi‑cloud or hybrid environments.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline design and deployment automation.
• Ensure cloud environments meet financial‑industry security and compliance standards.
• Document systems, runbooks, and processes for team knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or Cloud Infrastructure.
• Hands‑on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Proficiency in a scripting or programming language such as Python, Go, or Bash.
• Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep).
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, load balancing, VPNs).
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Solid Linux/Unix systems administration skills.
