Site Reliability Engineer (SRE/DevOps) – Engineering Productivity

About the role

Arista Networks is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join the Engineering Productivity (EngProd) team. You will help design, build, and operate secure, scalable, and fault‑tolerant tools and infrastructure that support the company’s rapidly expanding product development ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Build, deploy, and operate critical production systems with a focus on scalability, reliability, observability, performance, and security.
• Develop automation to eliminate manual toil and create proactive monitoring and alert handling.
• Create and maintain incident response runbooks, triage platform issues, and write post‑mortem documentation.
• Plan and communicate maintenance windows while coordinating with third‑party vendors as needed.
• Collaborate with product development teams to identify infrastructure bottlenecks and improve developer workflow efficiency.
• Research, evaluate, and adopt best practices for infrastructure and platform engineering.

Required profile

• Versatile engineer who enjoys learning new technologies and can wear many hats.
• Strong collaborative mindset, able to work closely with other engineers and product teams.
• Experience in designing and operating large‑scale, hybrid‑cloud environments.
