Snowflake Data Engineer (French Speaker)

About the role

Keyrus is looking for a Snowflake Data Engineer who is fluent in French to join its remote team in Portugal. You will help insurance clients migrate large‑scale data platforms from Hadoop/Hive to Snowflake, supporting their cloud transformation journey.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in enterprise‑wide migration projects from Hadoop/Hive to Snowflake.
• Design, build and optimise ETL/ELT pipelines for batch and near‑real‑time data ingestion.
• Develop scalable Snowflake data models and transformations using Snowpark, SQL and Python.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, governance and security throughout migration activities.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and business stakeholders across international, multicultural teams.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and performance optimisation of the enterprise data platform.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• Fluent in French and English (written CV must be in English).
• Proven experience delivering large‑scale data migration or modernisation projects.
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote, international environment.

• Daily rate of €250‑€400 or annual gross salary €40 k‑€55 k (depending on contract type and location).
