Software Development Engineer II

About the role

CarGurus is expanding its international engineering team in Dublin and is looking for a Software Development Engineer II to build and enhance dealer‑facing products for the Canadian and UK markets. You will own the full software development lifecycle, contributing to both frontend and backend components while helping shape the culture of the new office.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy full‑stack features for marketplace products.
• Integrate third‑party APIs and extend existing services using React, TypeScript, and Java.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineering peers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, automated testing, monitoring, and incident response.
• Help establish engineering best practices and team standards in the Dublin office.
