Software Development Engineer – Security Services

About the role

Join the Amazon Optics team to design and build secure services that protect AWS physical locations worldwide. You will work end‑to‑end on critical software, from concept through deployment, in a fully Infrastructure as Code environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize secure services for AWS data‑center sites.
• Own operational excellence by diagnosing issues, implementing permanent fixes, and improving team processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business value.
• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and maintain comprehensive documentation.
• Automate operational inefficiencies to scale solutions across all AWS regions.

Required profile

• EU citizenship as required by the position.
• Proven experience delivering software through the full development lifecycle.
• Strong problem‑solving skills for complex architecture challenges.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, data‑driven team environment.
