Software Engineer 3 – Cloud Management

About the role

MongoDB’s Enterprise Advanced team is looking for a Software Engineer 3 to help evolve the core functionality of Ops Manager, Cloud Manager, and Automation products. You will work on a hybrid model from Dublin or Cork, delivering features that enable customers to run fault‑tolerant, globally distributed MongoDB clusters.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and release new features for Ops Manager.
• Incrementally ship components of complex projects while ensuring quality.
• Apply MongoDB’s core values in planning, design, and coding.
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs in customer deployments.

Required profile

• Passionate about programming and continuous learning.

• Self‑starter who can organize time, act on feedback, and prioritize with guidance.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Java or Go.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipeline concepts.
• Experience with multi‑threaded, asynchronous, distributed systems.
• Strong computer‑science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, OOP).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Knowledge of CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and build tools (Bazel).
• Experience with production systems and interest in full‑stack web development.
