Software Engineer 3 – Ops Manager & Cloud Manager

About the role

MongoDB’s Enterprise Advanced team is looking for a Software Engineer 3 to help build and evolve the core functionality of Ops Manager, Cloud Manager, and Automation products. The role is based in Dublin (hybrid) or remote within Ireland and reports to an Engineering Manager in Poland.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and release new features for Ops Manager and related products.
• Incrementally ship components of complex projects while ensuring quality.
• Apply MongoDB’s core values in planning, design, and coding activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs in customer deployments.

Required profile

• Passionate about programming and building reliable software.
• Enjoys collaborative teamwork and flexible responsibilities.
• Self‑starter who can organise time, act on feedback and prioritize tasks.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Java or Go.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipeline concepts.
• Experience with multi‑threaded, asynchronous, distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms and object‑oriented design.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Experience with CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins and build tools like Bazel.
