Software Engineer – API, Microservices & Cloud (Hybrid)

About the role
AmpsTek is seeking a Software Engineer to join its growing team in Ireland. The role is hybrid, allowing you to work both on‑site and remotely while contributing to the design and delivery of scalable API‑driven microservices.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Java and Python based microservices.
- Implement and optimise data pipelines using Snowflake, PostgreSQL and Kafka.
- Build and manage containerised workloads on Kubernetes and Azure Container Apps.
- Drive CI/CD automation with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate AI tools and ensure robust REST API delivery.
Required profile
- 4–5 years of professional software development experience.
- Hands‑on experience with cloud environments, preferably Azure.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a hybrid setting.
