Software Engineer – Cloud & Big Data (Python/React)

About the role

Fulcrum Digital is looking for a Software Engineer to design, build and scale secure, high‑performance applications that power global payment solutions. The role is based in Dublin and is a permanent position within an agile, next‑generation digital transformation company.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain end‑to‑end payment platforms using Python and React.
• Architect and implement cloud solutions on AWS (EMR) or Azure.
• Work with big‑data technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake and Hadoop to process large data sets.
• Design data pipelines and orchestration workflows using Airflow or Nifi.
• Lead complex technical initiatives from conception through delivery, ensuring quality and performance.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in software quality.

• Proven experience building scalable, secure applications in a fast‑moving environment.
