Software Engineer III – Backend/Full Stack

About the role
Rent the Runway is looking for a Backend/Full‑Stack Engineer to join the Consumer Retention team in Galway. You will help shape the early customer journey, building acquisition funnels, onboarding flows, and A/B testing infrastructure that turn first‑time visitors into loyal shoppers.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in all stages of agile development, from design through deployment.
- Develop clean, testable, and scalable services using Java, Kotlin, Dropwizard, SpringBoot and related technologies.
- Build intuitive, well‑tested APIs for data manipulation and retrieval.
- Optimize systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Drive technical projects to completion in a fast‑paced environment.
- Deprecate legacy functionality and identify architectural improvements.
Required profile
- Strong passion for writing high‑quality code and delivering great user experiences.
- Experience working in an agile, test‑driven development setting.
- Ability to collaborate through code reviews, pair programming, and continuous integration.
