About the role
Dell Technologies' Unstructured Data Storage (UDS) group is looking for a Software Engineer (SRE) to join its Cork team. You will help build and maintain enterprise‑grade, massively scalable storage systems that power AI‑intensive workloads.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in the full software development life‑cycle: planning, design, implementation, testing, deployment and maintenance.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects and fellow engineers to define and deliver technical solutions.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the stack.
Required profile
- 3‑5 years of solid programming experience, preferably in C, C++, Java or Python.
- Strong analytical, debugging and problem‑solving abilities.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills within a global Agile/Scrum environment.
- Desirable experience in performance engineering or SRE, filesystem/distributed systems, and storage protocols (NFS/SMB/S3).
