About the role
Stripe is looking for a Software Engineer to join the Stripe Tax Capabilities team. You will help build and maintain services that simplify global tax compliance for Stripe’s largest merchants.
Key responsibilities
- Own end‑to‑end delivery of projects, from scoping and design to production deployment.
- Translate complex customer tax needs into scalable technical solutions.
- Collaborate with product, design, infrastructure, marketing, and operations teams.
- Debug production issues and improve overall system reliability.
- Set and enforce best practices in engineering, security, and architecture.
Required profile
- At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience (excluding internships or co‑ops).
- Strong coding ability in any programming language.
- Effective collaboration skills across multiple workstreams.
