Software Engineering Manager – B2B Payments

About the role

The Mastercard Commercial Solutions team in Dublin is seeking a Manager of Software Development to lead scrum teams building Java‑based, distributed, highly available B2B digital payments services.

Key responsibilities

• Take a product initiative from requirements to production.
• Lead and guide agile teams of scrum masters, business analysts, developers and testers.
• Oversee effective development and delivery of software solutions.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business/Tech Operations, and other stakeholders.
• Drive positive change within systems and processes to meet commitments.
• Promote agile best practices across teams.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members through performance feedback and career development.
• Communicate status and progress to product teams, customers, and senior management.
• Contribute to the software development guild knowledge base.

Required profile

• Experience managing development teams in a multi‑team environment, including remote management.
• Experience applying Scrum or SAFe Agile in product development where performance, reliability and security are essential.
• Strong communication skills with proven ability to collaborate with business stakeholders.
• Background in payments or fintech is a plus.
