Software Test Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a mid-level Quality Engineer to join Creditsafe’s Consumer Bureau team. The role focuses on testing cloud-native software systems that power our new consumer credit reporting platform in the United Kingdom. You will work in an agile environment, collaborating with product and engineering teams from the earliest design stages.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated tests for large-scale data pipelines processing hundreds of gigabytes daily.
• Perform API testing to verify performance, reliability and security under varied load conditions.
• Validate data integrity, accuracy and latency throughout ingestion, transformation and delivery stages.
• Partner with developers to embed quality checks into CI/CD pipelines and promote a test-first mindset.
• Contribute to the creation of intelligent automation frameworks and continuous improvement of testing practices.

Required profile

• Mid-level experience in quality engineering or software testing, preferably in cloud-native environments.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven testing.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional agile team.

Required skills

• Python programming for test automation.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) services and cloud deployment concepts.
• Experience with data pipeline testing, ETL/ELT processes.
• API testing tools and techniques.
• Automation frameworks and CI/CD integration.
