Staff Nurse – Gascoigne House Nursing Home

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Staff Nurse to join our team at Gascoigne House Nursing Home in Dublin. The role focuses on delivering person‑centred care to our residents, ensuring their health and wellbeing are monitored and supported in a safe environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and review individual care plans in collaboration with the Care Manager and Health Care Assistants.
• Monitor residents’ health status and promptly report any changes to the Clinical Nurse Manager or Assistant Care Manager.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents, staff and visitors.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care and adherence to evidence‑based practice.
• Participate in social, recreational and educational activities to enhance residents’ quality of life.
• Contribute to the quality and safety management system and uphold professional nursing standards.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse qualification with current registration on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
• Knowledge of residential care legislation, including HIQA National Quality Standards and relevant accreditation standards.
• Experience caring for older adults, including those with dementia.

Required skills

• Competence in developing and reviewing person‑centred care plans.
• Ability to assess and document changes in residents’ health.
• Effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
