Staff Nurse – Paediatric Palliative Care

About the role
Provide nursing care and support to children with life‑limiting conditions and their families in a home or community environment, in line with LauraLynn’s mission, vision and values.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality nursing care to children with complex, life‑limiting and palliative needs.
- Support families emotionally and practically, ensuring a person‑centred approach.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and use information technology systems for record‑keeping.
- Work independently while adhering to organisational policies and standards.
Required profile
- Registered or eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
- Minimum 3 years post‑qualification experience in a paediatric acute or community setting (RCN) or 5 years for RGN/RNID, caring for children with complex or palliative needs.
- Degree in Nursing or currently completing a nursing degree.
- Demonstrated experience working with children with complex conditions and their families.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Required skills
- Working knowledge of information technology.
