Staff Nurse – Private Care Facility in Dublin

About the role

Comfort Keepers is seeking a full‑time, permanent Staff Nurse to join a small private care facility in Dublin 16. Reporting to the Care Unit Manager, you will work a structured 4‑cycle roster and play a key role in delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care while supporting the wider care team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care tailored to each resident’s needs.
• Advocate for residents, ensuring dignity, respect and person‑centred care.
• Supervise and support Healthcare Assistants in delivering effective care.
• Collaborate with GPs, multidisciplinary teams and senior nursing staff.
• Maintain accurate care plans and clinical documentation in line with HIQA standards.
• Monitor, report and escalate clinical concerns appropriately.
• Administer medications safely and follow all clinical policies.
• Participate in quality‑improvement initiatives and service development.
• Assist residents with daily activities, social engagement and mealtimes when required.
• Ensure safe use of equipment and report any faults promptly.

Required profile

• Active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
• Previous experience in elderly care is desirable but not essential.
• Strong clinical judgement and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, resident‑focused approach.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
