Staff Nurse – Residential Care

About the role

Moorehall Lodge Balbriggan is seeking a compassionate Staff Nurse to deliver person‑centred care to our residents. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized care plans, ensuring the highest standards of safety and dignity.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate resident‑focused care plans in line with HIQA standards and evidence‑based practice.
• Maintain accurate written records and reports for each resident.
• Collaborate closely with families, guardians and the multidisciplinary team to optimise resident outcomes.
• Advocate for residents’ rights, autonomy and informed decision‑making.
• Promote participation in community‑based and leisure activities.

Required profile

• Valid nursing qualification and registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
• Eligibility to work in the Republic of Ireland.
• Evidence of continuous professional development.
• Desirable: at least three years’ experience in a nursing home setting.

• Clinical assessment and care planning.
• Accurate documentation and record‑keeping.
• Effective communication with residents, families and multidisciplinary teams.
