Staff Nurse / Social Care Worker / Support Worker – Offaly Residential Services

About the role

The Muiriosa Foundation is seeking qualified Staff Nurses, Social Care Workers and Support Workers to join its residential services across Offaly. You will help adults with physical, intellectual disabilities or autism develop independent living skills, engage with the community and maintain their health and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day, evening and overnight residential support in individual and group settings.
• Assist residents with personal care, daily living activities and health monitoring.
• Promote community inclusion and independence through tailored skill‑building programmes.
• Maintain accurate records and follow HIQA standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver person‑centred care.

Required profile

• Relevant recognised Diploma in Social Care (Level 7, CORU approved) or nursing qualification (RNID/General/Mental Health, NMBI registered).
• Registration with CORU (or in process) for social care candidates.
• Valid manual driving licence.
• Experience supporting adults with intellectual disabilities or autism.
• Knowledge of HIQA standards and strong initiative.
• Basic IT proficiency (email, Microsoft Word, care systems).
