Staff Rust Developer – Backend Engineer

About the role

Affinidi is looking for a solution‑oriented Staff Software Engineer (Backend) with deep expertise in Rust. You will lead the design and implementation of secure, high‑performance backend systems for the Affinidi Elements platform, collaborating with product, design, infrastructure and front‑end teams worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, architect, and build scalable Rust services for a multi‑component platform.
• Write high‑quality, well‑tested code and conduct performance testing.
• Influence architectural direction and long‑term technical strategy while staying hands‑on.
• Mentor team members through code reviews, workshops, and best‑practice guidance.
• Collaborate closely with product, security and engineering peers in an iterative environment.

• Proven experience delivering secure, high‑performance backend systems.
• Strong track record of performance optimisation and large‑scale technical problem solving.
• Ability to work autonomously and guide a team toward engineering excellence.
