Strategic HR Manager – People & Operations Lead

About the role

We are looking for a commercially‑savvy HR professional to lead the people function of a fast‑growing, family‑run SME in North Dublin. The role combines strategic partnership with the Managing Director and Board with hands‑on operational delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Managing Director and Board to align people strategy with commercial objectives.
• Lead the implementation of a new Workforce Planning and HR system, managing change across line managers.
• Mentor and manage a small HR team of two.
• Provide expert advice on complex employee‑relations issues while fostering a multicultural, accountable culture.
• Ensure compliance with Irish employment law, gender‑pay‑gap reporting and health & safety standards.
• Handle day‑to‑day HR tasks, budget negotiations and timesheet authorisation as needed.

Required profile

• Senior HR experience, preferably in a warehouse, factory or high‑pace retail environment.
• Strong commercial acumen – able to assess risk, present ROI and advise directors.
• Down‑to‑earth, adaptable personality with the ability to build rapport from the factory floor to the boardroom.
• Degree in HR, Employment Law or related field and active CIPD membership.
