Strategic Layout Industrial Engineer

About the role

The FCO Global Space Planning team is looking for a Layout Industrial Engineer to support Intel's Foundry Capital Optimization organization. You will act as the integration hub for strategic planning, construction, tool install design, and manufacturing, helping shape the future of Intel's critical foundry services across multiple global sites.

Key responsibilities

• Plan production facilities and equipment layouts, ensuring optimal space utilization and compliance with process flow constraints.
• Develop and optimize installation sequences to support technology transition scenarios.
• Support equipment installation through design reviews and field walks.
• Collaborate with design, construction, capacity, and manufacturing teams to resolve layout‑related issues during site build‑out.
• Create, maintain, and improve business standards and drive standardization across sites.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Industrial Engineer in a related environment.
• Strong teamwork, tolerance for ambiguity, and ability to set expectations and drive accountability.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and time‑management skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication, data presentation, and stakeholder negotiation.
• High attention to detail, ability to meet tight deadlines, and innovative thinking.
