Lab Operator – Quality Control (Manufacturing)

About the role

The Lab Operator will support the quality control function on the production floor, performing visual, functional and dimensional inspections of samples. Working on a 12‑hour shift pattern, the role ensures accurate reporting of product conformity and assists in resolving customer issues.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out visual, functional and measurement inspections (CMM, vision system, manual gauges) on production samples according to sampling plans and report any non‑conforming results.
• Assist in resolving customer complaints and non‑conforming product, supporting timely release of in‑process items.
• Support the Metrology Engineer with MSA/Gauge RR activities, conduct check‑backs, and provide training on lab equipment.
• Maintain correct storage of samples, ensure GDP‑compliant paperwork, and keep the sample area organized.
• Proactively uphold GMP, EHS and housekeeping standards throughout the site.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a cleanroom or GMP environment.
• Ability to work a 4‑cycle shift roster.
• Strong information management and analytical abilities.
• Certificate in metrology, instrumentation or a related technical discipline (desired but not essential).
• Experience with ERP systems and MS Office tools.
• Experience in a quality control/assurance or metrology laboratory setting (desirable).
