Supervisor, Engineering Reliability

About the role

Newmont is seeking a Supervisor, Engineering Reliability to lead reliability initiatives at its Lihir gold operation in Papua New Guinea. The role focuses on optimizing plant performance, ensuring safe and efficient operations, and driving continuous improvement across processing assets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Asset Management – Reliability activities to achieve optimal equipment performance.
• Monitor plant and process equipment reliability, identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Drive compliance with safety standards, risk management processes, and operational procedures.
• Coordinate routine maintenance, inspections, and equipment calibration activities.
• Analyze reliability performance data and provide recommendations to improve uptime and productivity.
• Develop medium‑ and long‑term engineering reliability strategies.

Required profile

• Demonstrated leadership experience in reliability or asset management.
• Proven ability to monitor equipment performance and implement improvement actions.
• Strong focus on safety compliance and risk management.
