Supply Chain Manager

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing food ingredients and FMCG organisation, is looking for an experienced, commercially‑minded Supply Chain Manager to lead and develop its end‑to‑end supply chain function. Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for customer service, imports, warehousing, logistics, inventory management and distribution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the complete supply chain operation, ensuring performance supports business growth and customer satisfaction.
• Provide leadership across Customer Service, Imports and Warehouse teams, aligning people, processes and priorities.
• Own key performance metrics related to service, inventory, cost and operational efficiency.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance service, streamline processes and reduce costs.
• Partner with Commercial, Procurement and Finance to meet demand and commercial objectives.
• Oversee inventory, imports, warehousing and distribution to ensure continuity of supply.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, freight forwarders and logistics providers.
• Coach, develop and motivate team members to create a high‑performance culture.
• Analyse operational data and implement action plans for sustainable results.

Required profile

• Proven experience across end‑to‑end supply chain operations, including customer service, imports, warehousing, logistics and inventory management.
• Previous people‑management experience with the ability to lead and develop high‑performing teams.
• Strong understanding of KPI management, operational performance and cost control.
• Track record of delivering process improvements in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Highly organised, problem‑solving oriented and detail‑focused.
• Commercially aware with the ability to balance customer requirements and operational efficiency.
• Self‑motivated and able to work effectively under pressure.
