Sustainability Engineer

About the role

The Sustainability Engineer will join Career Dynamics in a full‑time, hybrid capacity, based in the Dublin Metropolitan Area. The role focuses on assessing, designing and implementing sustainability initiatives that improve environmental performance for both client operations and internal projects.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct sustainability assessments and lifecycle analyses across client sites.
• Analyse resource and energy use, calculate carbon footprints and identify efficiency opportunities.
• Develop technical solutions and recommendations to reduce environmental impact.
• Prepare data‑driven reports and presentations for technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with HR, learning & development and client leadership to embed sustainability into business processes and employee programmes.
• Stay up‑to‑date with relevant regulations, ESG frameworks and reporting standards.
• Support the creation of sustainability training content and contribute to long‑term strategic planning.

Required profile

• Degree (BSc or MSc) in environmental engineering, sustainability engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Experience conducting sustainability assessments, lifecycle analysis, carbon accounting or resource‑efficiency projects in a corporate or consulting environment.
• Proficiency with data‑analysis tools and the ability to model environmental impacts and track KPIs.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations, ESG frameworks and sustainability reporting standards.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with HR and leadership teams.
• Demonstrated project‑management capabilities, including planning workstreams and managing timelines.
• Commitment to continuous learning; certifications such as LEED, ISO 14001 or ESG credentials are a plus.
