Systems Administrator

About the role

We are seeking a Systems Administrator to join a well‑established IT function supporting a dynamic professional services organisation in Dublin city centre. You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing core infrastructure, cloud platforms, networking, and security systems across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and support Windows Server environments (2019+) on‑premise and in the cloud.
• Manage Active Directory, Azure AD, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy.
• Maintain Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Intune, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.
• Support SQL Server platforms and related databases.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, address incidents and minimise disruption.
• Collaborate with third‑party providers and internal teams for system reliability.
• Assist with upgrades, deployments, patching and lifecycle management.
• Deploy and configure endpoints using modern management tools.
• Implement and maintain security controls, review alerts and coordinate firewall changes.
• Provide escalation support and contribute to IT improvement projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience supporting Windows Server 2019 or later.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory and Azure Active Directory.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft 365 technologies.
• Experience with SQL Server and database environments.
• Good understanding of networking, routing, switching and wireless technologies.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity tools, endpoint protection and patch management.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
