Trainee Buyer – Entry Level Buying Role

About the role

Join Primark’s buying team as a Trainee Buyer and help shape the next season’s product range. You will work closely with senior buyers and merchandisers, learning the full buying cycle while supporting the delivery of on‑trend, high‑quality products to our stores.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately input and amend order details in internal systems.
• Monitor product range against key competitors for price, quality and value.
• Communicate daily with suppliers, attend meetings and manage the critical path to ensure timely delivery.
• Prepare size specifications and handle initial sealing and production samples.
• Manage receipt and dispatch of packages to and from suppliers.
• Track weekly stock and sales information in line with company policy.

Required profile

• Strong interest in fashion, trends and retail buying.
• Relevant qualifications in fashion or buying are a plus.
• Commercial awareness with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organised and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
