Trainee Designer – Menswear

About the role

Join Primark’s design team as a Trainee Designer focusing on menswear. You will support senior designers and buying teams by researching trends, developing concepts, and helping bring commercial collections to life.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily trend research across multiple platforms and share insights with the design and buying teams.
• Translate emerging trends into commercially viable designs that align with Primark’s brand language.
• Collaborate with the design team to create original graphics, prints, and garment concepts.
• Support range development by evaluating garment shapes, fabrics, and seasonal colour directions.
• Manage design updates, track amendments, and ensure timely communication across stakeholders.
• Prepare design files, presentations, and handle colour, trend, and product‑related administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Strong creative mindset with innovative thinking and a hard‑working attitude.
• High‑quality portfolio showcasing original graphic and fashion design work.
• Confident communication of ideas to design and buying teams.
• Excellent attention to detail while delivering commercially relevant designs.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment, multitask, adapt and meet tight deadlines.
