Transport Planner

About the role

As a Transport Planner you will be the hub of outbound operations, turning customer orders into on‑time deliveries. You will bring structure to a fast‑moving environment, ensuring that each decision directly supports the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and schedule daily outbound order fulfilment activities.
• Allocate customer orders to warehouse teams, balancing workloads and productivity.
• Prioritise orders based on shipping cut‑offs, transport schedules and customer requirements.
• Monitor picking, packing and dispatch progress, resolving any issues that could affect delivery.
• Coordinate closely with warehouse, inventory, customer service and transport teams.
• Ensure stock availability and accurate allocation to orders.
• Prepare dispatch schedules, shipment documentation and transport bookings.
• Track performance metrics such as accuracy, productivity and on‑time dispatch.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflow, planning and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate data in WMS and ERP systems.

Required profile

• Experience in warehouse operations, outbound logistics or order fulfilment.
• Strong understanding of planning, prioritisation and workload allocation.
• Familiarity with WMS, ERP systems and Excel.
• Excellent organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Clear communication and coordination skills across teams.
