Trucking Coordinator

About the role

Swissport is looking for a Trucking Coordinator to lead the Irish trucking operation. Reporting to the Trucking Manager for Ireland, you will oversee daily truck planning, dispatch and coordination across Dublin, Cork, Shannon and the UK offices.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise daily trucking activities and subcontractor performance.
• Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure timely and accurate shipments.
• Schedule routing, dispatching and tracking of all truck movements.
• Maintain daily billing packs, gather charges and liaise with the accounts team.
• Resolve shipment issues and provide customers with information, quotes and support.
• Work closely with cargo offices and warehouse staff to ensure trucks are correctly planned, loaded and dispatched.

Required profile

• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• 5+ years of experience in trucking or logistics.
• Knowledge of customs regulations and safety standards.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.
• Flexibility to work weekends and adapt shifts for sickness or holidays.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Experience with logistics management systems.
