VP Controls Professional (Maternity Cover)

About the role

Barclays Europe Technology is seeking a VP Controls Professional on a maternity‑cover basis to strengthen its technology control environment. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to assess, monitor and improve controls across a complex technology landscape, ensuring regulatory and resilience priorities are met.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the integrity and effectiveness of the bank’s internal control framework.
• Collaborate with business units and technology teams to document control assessments, procedures and findings.
• Identify control gaps, investigate weaknesses and drive remediation activities.
• Manage regulatory, internal audit and external audit engagements, coordinating evidence collection and responses.
• Support the delivery of strategic regulatory commitments and operational resilience programmes.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in technology risk and control framework design, assessment and enhancement.
• Proven track record of managing audit and regulatory engagements in a large, complex organisation.
• Strong understanding of technology services and operational resilience within the banking sector.
• Advanced data‑analysis and reporting capabilities with senior‑level stakeholder communication.

What we offer

• Competitive base salary ranging from €77,500 to €113,000 per year.
