Water Technician

About the role

Apleona is seeking a Water Technician to join its environmental team in Loughrea, Co Galway. You will work closely with environmental engineers to implement cleanup plans, operate monitoring equipment, and produce detailed reports. The position involves visiting multiple sites across the country and follows a standard Monday‑to‑Friday schedule (09:00‑17:00).

Key responsibilities

• Collect water samples and forward them to Biosearch for laboratory analysis.
• Test and treat closed‑loop water systems, ensuring optimal performance.
• Prepare and deliver reports on closed‑loop systems with actionable recommendations for customers.
• Maintain appropriate chemical inventories on customer sites.
• Update work orders, generate purchase orders for suppliers, and reassign tasks to the correct team members.

Required profile

• Associate degree in environmental engineering technology or a related field.
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Clean driving licence.
