Accounting Manager

About the role

The Accounting Manager will lead the accounting function for a major division of an international operational leasing group. Reporting to senior finance leadership, you will ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with IFRS and local GAAP, and effective control of subsidiary accounting processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop the accounting team, overseeing daily finance operations and subsidiary reporting.
• Supervise general and auxiliary accounting, intercompany accounts, and fixed‑asset register maintenance.
• Execute timely monthly, quarterly and annual closings for a full set of accounts under IFRS and local GAAP.
• Prepare statutory, IFRS and tax/VAT reports, and coordinate audit processes for all rail‑division entities.
• Review and approve payment vouchers, journal entries, and oversee cash‑flow management and reporting to headquarters.
• Ensure correct treatment of multiple currencies and foreign‑exchange accounting.
• Develop and maintain internal controls, accounting policies and reporting systems.
• Lead ad‑hoc finance projects such as variance analysis, BI implementation, and acquisitions.

Required skills

• Minimum degree in Accounting/Finance or ACCA qualification.
• 3‑5 years of financial and management accounting experience, preferably in the leasing industry.
• Solid knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP.
• Advanced MS Excel and general MS Office proficiency.
• Familiarity with ANAEL accounting software and French language is advantageous.
