Accounts Assistant (Temporary – Part Time)

About the role

We are looking for a meticulous Accounts Assistant to join a leading arts organisation in Dublin on a temporary, part‑time basis. You will support the finance team in processing income, managing banking activities and maintaining accurate ledger records, helping ensure smooth financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Process income transactions, including coordinating settlements for external promoters, managing IMRO submissions, issuing invoices and maintaining debtor statements.
• Handle banking activities such as recording bank details, authorising foreign accounts, reconciling payment discrepancies and processing cash receipts.
• Manage nominal ledger entries, prepare journals, set up event codes and support month‑end procedures.
• Assist in maintaining financial controls and compliance, support audit preparations and ensure timely reporting.
• Contribute to process improvements within finance systems to enhance organisational efficiency and accuracy.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years recent experience in finance or accounting within a busy organisation.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational abilities.
• Proficiency with financial software and Microsoft Excel.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrable data entry and numeric analysis capability.
