About the role
We are looking for an Assistant Heritage Consultant to join our newly established heritage team within the Environmental Planning division at our Cork office. This entry‑level, full‑time position is ideal for recent graduates eager to develop expertise in archaeological and architectural heritage impact assessments.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct research and produce Archaeological Impact Assessments and Architectural Heritage Impact Assessments.
- Undertake site visits and archive investigations across Ireland.
- Contribute cultural heritage chapters to Environmental Impact Assessment reports.
- Utilise GIS (ArcGIS preferred) and manage related datasets.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet project objectives.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in archaeology (joint honours or minor degree acceptable).
- Strong research abilities and high‑level written communication.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Required skills
- Proficiency in GIS, preferably ArcGIS.
- Experience with desk‑based heritage assessments (desirable).
- Knowledge of Irish heritage legislation and policy (desirable).
