Assistant Project Manager (Construction) – South Dublin

About the role

Our client, a leading independent construction consultancy based in Dublin, is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of high‑profile, complex projects across residential, commercial, retail, hospitality, education and healthcare sectors. The role offers a hybrid working model and a clear pathway toward chartership and career progression.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior project managers throughout the full project lifecycle, from feasibility and briefing to design, procurement, construction and handover.
• Support contract administration for standard construction contracts (e.g., RIAI, JCT, GCCC), including variation tracking, meeting minutes and progress reporting.
• Act as a primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers and main contractors, ensuring clear communication.
• Monitor programme schedules, milestones and deliverables; help track budgets, cash flows and financial reporting.
• Identify project risks, contribute to mitigation strategies and conduct site visits to verify quality and compliance.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for internal leadership and external clients.

Required profile

• Primary degree (Level 8) in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline.
• 1–4 years of post‑graduate experience in a construction consultancy, main contractor or project‑management environment in Ireland or the UK.
• Interest or experience working across diverse sectors such as commercial, residential, healthcare or education.
• Proactive attitude with strong communication, negotiation and report‑writing abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Project or comparable scheduling software.
• Strong command of the MS Office suite.
• Familiarity with BIM/Revit workflows (advantage).
