Assistant Tax Manager – Top 10 Firm

About the role

This position offers an ambitious tax professional the chance to join a leading Top 10 accountancy and advisory firm in Dublin at Assistant Manager level. You will work closely with senior managers and partners, supporting a diverse portfolio of corporate and private clients on both compliance and advisory projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage tax compliance assignments for corporate and private clients, preparing and reviewing corporation tax returns, income tax returns and related filings.
• Support tax advisory projects covering restructuring, succession planning, group structuring, transactions, capital taxes and tax planning.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients on day‑to‑day tax matters and liaise with Revenue on queries.
• Conduct tax technical research, prepare client advisory notes and identify additional tax planning opportunities.
• Review work of junior team members and ensure deadlines are met.
• Assist managers, directors and partners on complex advisory assignments.

Required profile

• Experience at Tax Senior, Tax Consultant, Assistant Manager or recently promoted Manager level.
• Strong background in tax compliance and advisory with a desire to progress to manager and senior roles.
• Excellent client‑facing skills and ability to build trusted adviser relationships.
• Motivation to develop technically while gaining commercial and advisory experience.
