Backend Engineer, Core Technology

About the role

Stripe is looking for a Backend Engineer to join its Core Technology organization. You will build software services and platforms that support thousands of internal teams and millions of Stripe users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and ship backend services that power Stripe’s critical infrastructure.
• Build great customer experiences for internal and external Stripe teams using tier‑0 infrastructure components.
• Participate in roadmap planning, prioritization, and cross‑team collaboration.
• Debug and resolve production issues across distributed systems.

Required profile

• Software engineer with a strong interest in building scalable, reliable backend services.
• Ability to work on projects that span multiple technologies, systems, and processes.
• Comfort delivering high‑quality code daily in a fast‑moving environment.
