Buyer – Manufacturing Procurement

About the role

As a Buyer you will ensure a reliable supply of raw materials and components that keep our manufacturing operation running safely, compliantly and on schedule. You will own sourcing and procurement for assigned categories, supporting production stability, new product introductions and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Source and purchase materials/components from approved global suppliers in line with GMP and purchasing policy.
• Maintain continuity of supply through structured planning, risk management and dual‑sourcing strategies.
• Build and sustain strong supplier relationships focused on quality, service, compliance and improvement.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, MOQs and delivery schedules to deliver total value and secure supply.
• Develop alternate sources to mitigate supply‑chain risk and enhance resilience.
• Manage inventory levels to meet production targets while balancing working capital.
• Review MRP/forecast signals, prevent shortages or excess stock and drive timely decisions.
• Maintain accurate material and supplier master data, championing data quality.
• Coordinate inbound logistics with freight partners for shipments from Europe and Asia.
• Support NPI by sourcing new materials on time and ensuring launch readiness.
• Monitor supplier performance using KPIs and drive corrective actions.
• Handle purchasing deviations, change controls, investigations and CAPAs per the QMS.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a procurement professional in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of GMP, regulatory compliance and supply‑chain risk management.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Operations, Quality, Technical, Regulatory and Project teams.
• Excellent negotiation and supplier‑development skills.
